Modern Farmhouse - Favorite Blogs so far...

I am a super fan of Chip and Joanna Gaines and their show Fixer Upper.  So when we first started talking about this crazy modern farmhouse build, I set out to learn from others who have done this before.  Since then, I have started following several blogs for farmhouse design, new home construction, and other farmstead-ing topics :)  Enjoy!!!

Modern Farmhouse for the Modern Family - mine! http://modernfarmhousemodernfamily.blogspot.com/

My blog is organized by several topics, which you can sort at the top of the screen:

City Farmhouse - http://cityfarmhouse.com/

I first starting reading this blog because, well, every pinterest link I pinned seemed to link back to them!  Haha!  They have such great style and great DYI tutorials!

My Sweet Savannah - http://www.mysweetsavannahblog.com/

Seriously drool-worthy style and ideas for modern farmhouses!

Olive and Ford - https://www.instagram.com/oliveandford/

Okay, I broke the rules a bit and posted an instagram account instead of a blog, but OMG.  You will understand why when you see their amazing ideas for farmhouse design.

Christina's Adventures - http://porch.com/christinasadventures/

With her designs being featured in Country Living magazine, I was already sold.  But her 1902 farmhouse remodel is breathtaking!

Randi Garrett Design - http://randigarrettdesign.com/

If you want to be inspired, or visit every best dream farmhouse room, look at Randi's blog.

Four Generations Under One Roof - http://www.fourgenerationsoneroof.com/

Well, this family is way ahead of us!  This awesome extended family blogs about ideas, DYI, and multi-generational issues that arise when living together.

PlayHaven Farm - www.playhavengreen.com

This is a local Kansas City couple that blogs TONS of information on farmsteading and belted galloway cattle.  In addition to presenting all of this helpful information, they are seriously amazing people who will answer questions from total novices (me)!

Little Red Farmhouse - http://redfarmhouse.blogspot.com/

This couple from Oklahoma has such a great writing style.  Love their sense of humor!

Little Baby Garvin - http://littlebabygarvin.blogspot.com/

Confession - I have been following this blogger for a long time....a long time.  She has such a delightful writing style and down-to-earth vibe.  Did I mention that she also has a keen eye for decorating AND has three adorable little girls that remind me of my two munchkins?  :)

  9. Homeowners can construct ADUs on their land but can’t sell them separately. However, they can be used for rental income, home offices, and more. ADU builders Bay Area can construct additional units of all types and sizes for all needs and budgets.
